Boys and their toys

I am going to admit something that I never thought I would. I absolutely LOVED going to Monster Jams! Race cars, motorcycles and big trucks never appealed to me.... until this month. Thanks to Marc's awesome job and its "perks" we went to Monster Jam and had really good seats. I have always wanted to go but in the back of my head it was an event where there are motorcycle dudes and big men...not for me. When it was time for the flag presentation and the national anthem I had a change of heart. The announcer asked for all the veterans, soldiers, nurses, doctors, emts and teachers to stand up and as I looked around at these "scary lookin dudes" I got chills. They were standing with their heads held high and they were so proud of who they were. I have never seen anything so patriotic in my life. I got chills.....
This was the start of a great night for me and I will be the first to admit that I am now a huge monster truck fan. Watching these big trucks crush little cars and jump vans was pretty awesome. This was so awesome in fact that...wait for it... Miles fell asleep!!!! That's right you read that correctly Miles fell asleep at one of the loudest events you could go to. He slept until intermission and when it came time for the freestyle event he was pumped!! He really liked watching the trucks and listening to the music. He even had a favorite. He would cheer whenever the GRAVEDIGGER was driving and Miles must have been lucky that night because the GRAVEDIGGER won!!!!!!!!!!! From now on, I'm not going to knock these boyish adventures. They turn out to be pretty interesting.

Mom Moment

So yesterday, I had a totally sappy mom moment with Miles. We were just chilling on the couch and he goes into storage and pulls out our Princess tea set that we have for our photography. I opened it and figured he would just spill it all over the floor, but he didn't. To my complete surprise he got all of the pieces out, laid them on the couch and started pretend playing tea. To some people this may not seem like a huge deal, but it was for me. This was a sign to me that Miles is growing up. He was stirring the big tea pot with a spoon, blowing on it like it was hot and then he would bring me or Marc a cup, pour one for himself and then he would sit and "drink" tea with us. If we asked for more he would say O.K. in his usual sweet little voice and he would keep pouring it and watch us with big sparkling eyes until we told him it was num, num. Once we did this, he would just grin from ear to ear. He was so proud of himself, and so was I!!!!!

My crazy life... and I love it

I can't keep up with my own life, let alone keep up with a blog but I am going to try.
Miles is now a little over 2 years old and each day I become more aware of how big he is getting. It makes me so sad. Next year is preschool!!!!! He is the most amazing little boy and he totally makes each and every day the most amazing experience. His little personality is hilarious! I can't wait to watch him continue to grow and make people grin every day!

Marc and I are same ole us. We are loving doing wedding photography together. It is so much fun and I love being able to spend time with him doing something we both enjoy.
This past few months we have had the amazing opportunity to travel to a few of our favorite places. So, it is here that I begin, with our vacations!!!!!

Lake Powell and Vegas baby!!!!
